As part of the project exploring the work of German-speaking artists from Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, the Liberec Regional Gallery will present a set of nine works by Eugen von Kahler from a private collection. The works originated over the relatively short period of ten years in which all of Kahler's output was created, and include figure painting, still-lifes and landscapes. The diversity of the formal approach of Kahler, which drew on French Fauvism and German Expressionism, is apparent here. Eugen von Kahler was an outstanding representative of the emerging Central European Avant-garde.
